rough1  The summer hasnt provided many "decent days" with the ideal wind and sea conditions but I did manage to get a bit.

Most of the wind came from the west. As Im on the East the ideal is a Nth East where the sea rolls in unimpeded to imitate open sea conditions.

Why?

The Aim: To row the Tasman Solo in record time and an immediate return crossing as a kayak solo in a World first event. Start Jan 2012

Its difficult to answer this satisfactorily for most people because most focus on the hurdle rather than how to get over it.

Its about what feels right. Its taken many aspects both positive and negative to arrive here. I own this from conception to completion.

To raise awareness, in partnership with the Asthma foundation, of the importance of increasing aerobic activity levels in our day to day lives.
